INFORMATION SYSTEM

The Company uses an S1 integrated information system, rolled out in cooperation with its subsidiary SHD – SOFT (ware). The system fills our growing needs for data security and delivers the necessary performance and flexibility to adapt to ever changing conditions. In 2001, in connection with the restructuring of servicing operations, the S1 information system was either put into operation or expanded at subsidiaries SD – 1.strojírenská, SD – Kolejová doprava, and
SD – Autodoprava.

The information system provides support in the following areas:

• system administration and management,
• monitoring production indicators,
• monitoring statutory provisions,
• finance,
• logistics,
• human resources and payroll.

Network topology consists of three groups of servers located in Chomutov, Tušimice, and Bílina. These sites are interconnected by fast data links. In 2001, the Company deployed backup links between the sites.
